To Travel is to Live

It is possible to travel to the Faroe Islands by plane or ferry.

Atlantic Airways offers several departures from Copenhagen on a daily basis, as well as departures from other cities; London, Aalborg and Reykjavík just to mention a few. Enjoy the hospitable service on board, while enjoying the complimentary meal and drinks during your flight. After landing in Vágar Airport, Atlantic Airways offers you the possibility to shop in their new tax-free store. It is possible to pick-up rental cars at the airport, or to travel to your destination by bus or taxi.

Smyril Line offers departures with the passenger ferry Norrøna from Hanstholm/Esbjerg in Jutland, Denmark twice every week and once a week from Seyðisfjørður, in Iceland. All that can be done, has been done, in order that the travellers are not disturbed by noise, vibration or rolling. The model of the Norrøna which is approximately eight meters in length, was no fewer than 15 times in the test tank in Hamburg, where it got a very good recommendation. The normal procedure is that the lower rating the ship receives on a test rating ladder from 1 to 10, the better the ship is. The model of the new North Atlantic cruise-ferry received a final 1,8 on the test rating ladder in Hamburg. Only very fewn cruise-liners receive such good results.
