You can get just that extra kick you need if you try rappeling down the hillside at Lonin on Sandoy. Rappel down 300 meters. Challenging experiences are bound to be a part of this tour. The ferry M/F Teistin departs from Gomlurætt at 0845 hours. From the harbour in Skopun a bus takes you to Søltuvík, where you start with a guided walk to Lonin. Arriving at Lonin enjoy some coffee/tea and Faroese specialties. The hike trip is approximately 1 hour and 15 min. After lunch, the rappelers start rappeling down the hillside. If you do not want to rappel, the trip itself is worthwhile and the nature is beautiful. The hike back is about 45 min. A bus takes you back to Skopun, where the ferry departs at 1630 hours. |
